Jazz Festival Logos, vol.1

When it comes to the music industry at first glance it seems that logos are a bit underestimated. However, some of the most colorful, vivid and original logos are in the sphere of music, jazz in particular.  This selection is a quick look at some of the world’s famous jazz festivals and their visual identities.
1. Monterey Jazz Festival, USA
The Monterey Jazz Festival (MJF) is one of the longest consecutively running jazz festivals in the world. It debuted on October 3, 1958 and was founded by the San Francisco jazz radio broadcaster Jimmy Lyons.
                    
                                      
2.Montreux Jazz Festival, Switzerland 
The MJF is the best-known music festival in Switzerland and one of the most prestigious in Europe. Founded in
1967 it is held annually in early July in Montreux on the shores of Lake Geneva.
 
       
3.North Sea Jazz Festival
The North Sea Jazz Festival is an annual jazz festival held each second weekend of July in the Netherlands.  It used to be in The Hague but since 2006 it has been held in Rotterdam.
The founder of the three-day festival was Paul Acket, a businessman and jazz lover who had made fortune in the 1960s with his pop magazine publishing company. Acket sold his company in 1975 and started sponsoring his own festival.
4. Bangkok Jazz Festival
A relatively new festival on the jazz scene /founded in 2003/ the BJF takes its own place with excellent program and
a lot of atmosphere
